'I think it’s the Philippines’ time' says Singaporean Ambassador Kok Li Peng

Singaporean Ambassador to Manila Kok Li Peng is optimistic that President Duterte could bring the Philippines into an era of prosperity.
Despite of criticisms that the current administration receives because of their controversial War on Drugs, the Singaporean Ambassador still believes that Duterte has a very comprehensive agenda that may transform the Philippines into a first world country.
“I think your president has many challenges to face and to deal with. But what’s striking is that he’s got a very comprehensive agenda and his ensemble is very experienced and very capable. He’s going to do it,” She said during a discussion with reporters.
Ambassador Kok is confident that President Duterte could deliver a Philippines that is wealthy, safe, clean and modern.
“I think it’s the Philippines’ time. Every country has a time,” the envoy said. “This is it.”
The ambassador also sad that Singapore is always there to support the Philippines and willing to stand on its journey to success.[source]

  1. I am a Filipino. Filipinos are undisciplined people. Centuries of abuse from its occupiers have raped the country's value systems - most notoriously by the Catholic Church and the country's body politic! Somehow the borders between right and wrong have become blurred!

    It does need someone like Duterte! Only an iron-hand, itself applying a blurred value system, can cleanse itself - something like attacking fire by fire! There will be a lot of collateral damage. The Philippines may end up looking like a forest-after-a-fire. But, it will be easier to rebuild! Good luck!
